Popped into Wilko to try and buy some smoke alarms (unsuccessfully, they are sold out everywhere - presumably stuck on a container ship somewhere) and somehow found myself leaving with five packets of seeds instead
Cauliflower - All the Year Round (though it's suddenly occurred to me that I have some Snowball cauliflowers from the seed swap last year - oops!)
Calendula - Daisy Mixed
Calendula - Indian Prince
Nasturtium - Tip Top Mixed
Sunflower - Giant Single (got to try harder for the tallest sunflower this year!)

Less than a fiver for the lot.

And my parents are bringing me my old seeds over tomorrow. Some may be too old to germinate now, but I think most will be okay.

Pros, ask your Fire Brigade if they will fit some free alarms for you - mine did. https://www.safesecurehomes.co.uk/free-s...e-service/
The firemen pulled up outside in a full size fire engine when they came to fit mine. The neighbours were quite concerned!!

I bought a box of dried peas to use for pea shoots. I had some pea shoots last year in salad bags so thought I'd try growing my own. 50p for a box!

Ditto! Popped into Wilko for a notepad and came out with three dahlias.

Yes I'd like to know that too. I have a tonne of kale varieties I haven't sowed yet, but I've never heard of milk seed kale

I've picked up a few things this week. Some cress seed (I always forget to grow this and end up buying it), swan river daisy seed and a 500g bag of gigantes beans.
I found the gigantes in a grocery shop and thought I'd try them. My dried peas for shoots have sprouted so I'm hopeful the gigantes will also be viable and germinate for me.

Sorry guys that’s a typo, or rather a predictive auto correction text on my iPad. It should read ‘Mixed ‘ not milk
