Well to be honest I sowed the toms yesterday, a bit of poetic licence on timing there. Not quite as daft as you think I am ......I couldn't be!

Today was a beautiful, spring-like day. I built and put up supports for my raspberries, and did some more digging in preparation for spring proper.

Weeded and mulched around strawberries and blackcurrants - they are at the end of each veg bed. Three down, four to go.

Not much really, my electric was g working up the greenhouse - I used to have a cable that was done properly but when the extension was being put in the cable had to come out....anyway I've been using an extension cable. The fuse had gone, so changed that and it still didn't work. Held the cable all the way up the garden and it went bang.. no electric up there now. Another thing to sort by out.
Weeded about 8ft of border - filled a wheel barrow with all the leaves and cuttings, and then gave up on that job.
Took some roses cuttings as I pruned a couple.
Reset my traps - another baby rat down today

Lots more digging today. One more day and I'll have got all my new lawn area empty and dug over. Then I can move to the front garden, and after that the vegetable patch.
Will spring arrive before I'm ready for it?

Today I planted an apple tree, a pear tree and ten raspberry canes.
(I could have put this in the "what made you happy" thread instead!)

Moved a small raised bed frame, put it on a bare patch of soil, filled it with a dog bed full of compost from My Greedy's bottom and planted a chunk of rhubarb root and 3 tiny Livingston Rhubarb plants that have been in their pots for months while I dithered about where to plant them!
Finally, I stopped thinking and got down to doing!
Potted up 3 orchid sideshoots using wood chips from the bottom of the logbin.
Daffodil buds about 12" high now. Soon be spring, Martin.
