Not all my cucurbits have found forever homes due to lack of space, the final count is:

Heaven knows who's going to eat them all! Note to self.......don't grow so many ( I say it every year)

How do you know when the time is right to pick a cucumber?

When its big enough to eat!
When it comes to cucumbers, I'd say girth is more important than length (otherwise, its all peel).
I grow Beth Alpha because they're short and fat - enough to eat in one go without having half a cue leftover.

Only harvests are salad leaves and a few wild strawberries. I am so late with everything this year, but at least my toms have flowers on them now!
