Walked up the town a wee whileago black clouds overhead, so carried waterproof jacket with me, but no rain started, OH has a washing out but no wind to dry it, but while putting this down the leaves in the tree are starting to move slightly, no they have stopped moving again

Storm Evert has been tormenting me all day. Heavy intermittent showers coupled with high winds which are causing me grief.

Its one of those days when the sun comes out, the sky is blue and you're tempted out into the garden. You wend your way down to the far end, decide what you're going to do, gather the tools together and get stuck in.
Two minutes later, the sky darkens and the heavens open! Everyone rushes for cover, the dogs, the chooks and me - but its pointless, we're all soaked.
Choose which path back to the house has the most tree cover and set off at the fastest waddle I can manage. Remember that I had intended to cut back the overhanging shrubs that spray me with their raindrop covered leaves.
Finally, reach the house and the dogs and I argue over who has first dibs on the towel (I won. )
Go upstairs to change all my wet clothes for dry ones, go back downstairs and see that the rain has stopped, the sun is out and the sky is a patchy blue.

Very wet showers. I didn't really notice any wind but 2 sunflowers were down and a peach tree that has done nothing for a couple of years (since buying) was split in half. I had intended to get rid of it some time, now i'm just left with a stump.

Much as most others, the sun lulls into a false sense of security then a massive black cloud comes along and relieves itself.

It was poly tunnel weather here in Kildare. On and off showers, mixed temperatures and mixed wind.

Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

		Its the same here Boss.
As soon as it stops I'm going in the garden for this evenings veg. Don't fancy going in the brassica cage though but I'll see what I can reach.
