We’ve had rain since lunchtime so I gave up trying to do anything outdoors.

Too Hot!!!
51.5 in the GH; 34.5 on the outdoor thermometer in the shade.
We're all melting!

Veggie I thought my GH was hot at 35.5c I’ve done everything I can to cool it down. I don’t have any shade garden just yet but in full sun it was 46c earlier.
I’ve only ventured out a few times to do stuff.

Still too hot! GH max of 50.5 Its not cooling off much at night either!
I've had to go out in the car twice today - the metal bits were too hot to touch. Apparently we're in an Extreme Heat Warning Area until Thursday so no respite.

Stay cool you folks with extreme weather warnings Sad
30 here today, which I now find pretty manageable, but a decade ago we would have melted.

Still too hot and no rain.
I wouldn't normally share this with you all, but I've been sweating like a pig - no ladylike glow for me. !!

I had to question the "pig" reference and:-

The expression dates to the days of industrial steel production and refers to pig iron, which was shaped in molds that had the pieces branching off to look like piglets suckling on a sow. Once produced, pig iron was not cool enough to move without burning anything it touched until it reached a point at which water vapor condensed on its surface, producing “sweat.” Hence, “sweating like a pig.” As for the barnyard animal, it doesn’t sweat much—not when there’s some nice mud to keep it cool. https://www.historynet.com/sweating-like-pig-come.htm

Really fascinating, no pigs here, just very delicate female dripping.........not. Max air temp outside here was 31C for the second day running. Luckily we have an aircon unit in the house so at least the house is cool and the nights are bearable.

33 in the shade at the moment, I've watered the GHs but the outdoor stuff like beans and courgettes look very droopy - like me. Smile
