Today - housework, weeded in the rain for an hour, topped up the pond some more, got utterly drenched!
Bought some tile battens and made up a bit of trellis, then put it in place, cleared away some chippings below the trellis, made up a box 2ft long 18in. high and 9in. wide, this will sit below the trellis to hold a clematis, which will be planted tomorrow
Cut lots of brambles out of the Zephirine Drouhin roses as I want to take some cuttings and it was difficult to see the rose for the weeds!
Once again, the Water Board man came to test the water that's bubbling out of the roadside - he's a regular visitor because its always being reported as people think its leaking from the reservoir across the road. He asked for a glass of water and a glass of "empty water"!! That's a bit like eating an empty plate of food. Great diet.
