Mull magnetic anomalies. A bit of light reading for a Saturday morning
https://jgs.lyellcollection.org/content/144/1/17
If anyone is really interested there is a 15 page PDF you can download on the subject . The above was more than technical enough for me .
Later in the build we’ll be looking at radon gas!

Could it be part of "Magnetic North" and now that it has been moved all maps will have to redrawn?

Well that’s a couple I never want to go for a pint with . Luckily we don’t have to do any of that. We just have to fit a radon barrier under our floor slab. Basically plastic sheet .

Just the same as an underfloor damp proof membrane which is general practice then, doing two jobs at once!

We were in a radon area in Devon and had a little monitor on the window sill ... given that MrPP used to work on maintenance and refit of nuclear subs, radon seemed like the least of our worries

But a different colour, so that’s nice. And we need different tapes to hold the 2 together. Then there’s the other layer of stuff to stop the screed from eroding the insulation.
It’s all really quiet simple.........or not!
And they missed a 0 off the compacted hardcore measurement !

I found it
The fact both half’s were next to each other and they fits together without any missing bits is very impressive ( well I think so ) .
