It will soon be potato and tomato planting season so why not combine the two in a single pot?
Plant a spud in the bottom of a MFB on 5cm of potting compost. Fill the pot up with compost and plant a tomato plant in the top. Harvest the toms throughout the season and at the end of the season tip the pot out and harvest the potatoes. Probably best with a late low growing maincrop spud methinks with a high phosphate fertiliser like bone meal added to compost.
Wadya think?

Sounds like a Tomtato/Potmato without the grafting.

Edit Reason: Added PS.
)
Years ago the grafted version were sold as 'Tomtaers' in the Sunday papers for a ridiculous amount. That's why I grafted one myself, but I wasn't impressed with results.
PS Maybe they were only in Northern papers!

I remember the Things - not the TM name. Showed photos of them with ridiculous amounts of toms & taters all at once.
