i was given a cyclamen for Christmas. It is potted in a compost that feels like cotton wool and always seems dry on the top so I have watered it and now it seems that I have over done it and it has gone all floppy. Can I save it?

I think cyclamen are watered from below not from the top.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

If the corm is hardish, I would remove it and leave it to dry for a couple of days then repot it, half under some moist compost. May be remove any drooping leaves.

I grew some once from seed and vine weevils killed off most of them despite repotting in fresh compost, so check that it is over waatering and not something else.

Thanks, it was watered from the bottom and the corm is still hard so I will try repotting it as you suggest and inspect it for crawlies.
