Thanks PP.
I've been thinking about growing more plants that react in some way - like the fields of sunflowers that turn their heads in unison to follow the sun.
Sensitive plants that react to touch. Never seen this happen so I don't know how strong the reaction is.
Just watching flower heads that close up at night or when it rains...........I find it fascinating.

I think I would stick with Darwin's theory of natural selection. Like animal life, plants evolve to suit there circumstances, their main goal is to set seed so they can perpetuate their species methinks?
For me, taste and texture are what I like in French beans and I would like to think they have evolved to suit my taste.

PS Tendergreen have the taste and texture I like, that's why I have just ordered some more. My trials has covered many varieties over the years but I will only grow Tendergreen from now on.

I’ve grown it as a house plant it did brilliantly, even got it to flower. Then one day I had a massive brain f@rt and watered it with tap water not rain water and it was dead in a week! As for how sensitive, very. It takes the lightest of touches to get it to react.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.
