I’ve cleared another bed of old crops, weeded and covered. Only a couple of half beds to go. Put lot of stuff through the shredder. Did a bit of compost juggling (from one bin, to another).

Went out to buy wood and course sand for propagator, bought three bag of sand went out to collect the bags, but unable to collect them as they are all locked together in a block of ice temp. -5c so it's going to be a day or two before I can get them, carried out some preparation work in the greenhouse but had to give it up as it is far too cold for doing any work that doesn't keep you moving about

I cleaned & packed away everything poultry related today. It might come out again later in the year. I don’t know.
Potted on chilli babies, out of the propagator.

Working from home office, took a break at 10:30 to clean out and light the stove, then refilled to turf bunkers and log bags. It was -1’c I think it only got up to +2’C today it’s very cold.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Sorted seeds in the warm and found some old pea and field bean seeds that have been put to soak overnight. Hoping to grow edible shoots but the seeds are so old I'll be lucky if any of them germinate.
Too cold to do much outdoors or to open the GH.
I'm expecting snow tomorrow as it always snows on the 7th.

Yesterday pruned my dozen black currants and dreamed of creme de cassis!

Dug a few parsnips and carrots before taking delivery of 20 lengths of 22 x 150 x 3.6 timber ready to construct some new beds.
