One other question, what side do you think I should make the internal, th plane board side or the silver coated side, I take it the silver side is a thin plastic skin

Hi Spec

I've been looking at the items below with a view of building one, they stock them in Wickes and similar in B&Q although 1200mm may be a tad wide!! I think I'd be more confident cutting the small one is half rather than the larger one in quarters.

Purpose Polystyrene EPS70 - 2400mm x 1200mm x 50mm

Purpose Polystyrene EPS70 - 2400mm x 600mm x 50mm
Regards..........Danny Smile

A little update on Mr Greedy's condition!
His tummy is 2/3rds full and he's steaming when you open the lid.
Top thermometer reads 16C, One in the compost is 24C.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

Two days later, Top thermometer  = 22C, Compost  = 32 and the GH temp is 10C.

Need the compost to reach 40 - 60C.

Heating the greenhouse at the same time is brilliant. It’ll be really interesting to see how well all you random out of season sowing do in their. I think you’re going to have a fantastic early start to your harvest.

In the short time you’ve been feeding mr greedy have you k noticed the breakdown of materials already or is that expecting to much from him ?

I've not looked too far down into the bin - mainly because I'm too short.Wink Think its too early for action but there's plenty of steam coming out when you lift the lid and only dry materials have been added.
I'm toying with putting a seed tray on the lid, near the top vent to see if it helps germination. Would have to move it all the time to open the lid so maybe too much potch.
