We've had words that make you laugh which brought me to thinking that there are load of weird place names, let's see what we come up with, it might be a good geography lesson too. So amusing/strange/downright peculiar place names please.
I'll start
I saw a village name near Andower Hants while out and about yesterday called Smannell. It doesn't easily roll of the tongue and made me smile
The river Piddle in Dorset
I'm not far from the village of Nether Wallop
In NZ there was a place called Waikikamukau. (Why kick a moo cow) when passing as kids we always asked 'why not?'

As kids, my brother and I always laughed at Mold, Bootle and Wem and we named a little pink plastic bear Wallasey. I think it came from a cracker or a lucky bag and was only an inch or so tall. We used to play "Where's Wallasey?" until I hung it from the clothes line by a piece of cotton and Wallasey blew away.
Brother has never forgiven for that. I just have to say Wallasey and it sets him off.

There's a place near Oswestry called Knockin.
Every time I went up to North Wales with one of the blokes from work you could bet that they're make some reference to the Shop.

There is a town in county Donegal called Muff, and it really has a diving club. I leave you to figure that one out , they also have a distillery that makes Muff Vodka and Muff Gin.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.
