A lazy day for me today. But I replaced the broken hinge on the shed door and took four Chrysanthemum cuttings. the first of many. Although I haven't worked out where I will plant them yet.

Mulched the bed I weeded yesterday, weeded the herb bed, cut back a couple of clematis.

Cut down more brambles, this time along the back boundary fence. They come in from the field beyond and send their inquisitive tendrils into the garden and put their roots down where they're not wanted. I haven't really kept on top of these so the first lot of adventurers have sent out their own explorers, taking up even more ground.
Its a painful job but needs must.

I made a start on piling up the concrete that we broke up at the weekend. I want to empty a massive tub of soil currently in a fibreglass container of some sort, and I need to clear space nearby from concrete before I can empty it out. Can't wait to get rid of that ugly thing.
Things are coming to life in the garden - it's lovely, though perhaps a bit early!

Went to a concert tonight it was a pleasure to be able to hear live music and singing again.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Checked on my peppers sown a week ago and saw that my Cayenne peppers have germinated and one of my sweet peppers has germinated too, so I moved them out of the heated propagator to give them more light.
It's my first year growing them from seed (usually I buy a transplant) so I'm very excited with these!

The plan was to prune and tie to supports, the ?loganberry/tayberry canes but, first, I had to deal with the brambles that are coming in from behind nextdoor's shed (inaccessible to neighbour). Filled a trug with chopped up brambles but work had to stop when a bit of summat flew up into my eye. Back to the house to flush it out (a bit of leaf, not a thorn fortunately) and then back to debrambling. Stopped as it grew dark.
I'm never going to tick off any of my 7 Jobs at this rate!!
