I'm not rising to the bait. Just remember all the medications that are given to meat animals during the course of their short lives. Tongue
The majority of bought vegetables are treated with chemicals also!
I would never try and bait you veggie Rolleyes Big Grin but just out of interest I will have a look at the packaging & the ingredient list next time I am shopping? A lot of these fake meat products seem to be based on Jackfruit? Not a lot of jackfruit growing in the UK I would imagine? I don't even know what a jackfruit looks like?
If you click on the link https://www.this.co/products/beef-mince-frozen it tells you exactly what the ingredients are. Its soya, not jackfruit - which can be bought in tins. It cooks into "shreds" and is quite bland so takes on the flavour of whatever its cooked with. Good in curries.
Soya mince, of course i have heard of this......... Ah so, it's only got 24 additives and is highly processed, that's ok if thats's what you want to eat? Rolleyes Beef mince has no additives and has natural vitamins that are necessary for health, it also has a taste that these intruders just can't quite match.

Proper beef mince today, either as it is fried with eggs or formed into smashburgers with cheese?

Just bought a haggis today ready for Burn's night at end of month. I will have it with a a small spoonfull of swede so as not to break tradition. Smile

My Son in Law is a Scout master (and a Freemason)  and they always go the whole hog with the piper and everything on Burns night. They usually set a portion aside for me as well, but this year I am going to make my own. Rolleyes
