I've never tried it - but I have a slicer, peeler corer to play with!

Veggie I add a squirt of lemon juice to the water otherwise the apples go brown, they still taste ok but look a bit off putting. Next they go in the salad spinner finally between 2 tea towels to get the pieces as dry as possible.

Thanks Bren. I sometimes put salt in the water as I never seem to have a lemon handy! Going to have to improvise on the salad spinner - maybe wrap them in a towel and whirl it round my head?  I have so many apples this year I need to do something with them!
