Do you peel and core them before cutting into slices? I thought about doing some with peel left on?
Vinny I have one of those  apple slicer peeler corers its quick to turn a apple into rings or slices.  You can set it to leave the peel on but I don't bother,  instead I munch on the peeling while I'm processing the apples.

Bren, do you soak the slices in anything before you dehydrate them? I've never tried it - but I have a slicer, peeler corer to play with!

Veggie I add a squirt of lemon juice to the water otherwise the apples go brown, they still taste ok but look a bit off putting. Next they go in the salad spinner finally between 2 tea towels to get the pieces as dry as possible.

Thanks Bren. I sometimes put salt in the water as I never seem to have a lemon handy! Going to have to improvise on the salad spinner - maybe wrap them in a towel and whirl it round my head? Big Grin I have so many apples this year I need to do something with them!
