Called at allotment this afternoon and came home with three green round courgettes and one yellow round courgette.

Yesterday toms, cucs and the first pears of the season. I gave the two pear trees a good talking to last winter and told them they're for the chop, as they hadn't given any decent pears for years. The 'comice' type is laden and the 'conference' is at least trying to catch up. They may have a reprieve but I think it is this year's weather rather than my stern words that they took notice of.
