I doubt that anyone expected washing powder, but, its one less thing to buy in 2024.
Apparently they took orders for 50 hampers, bought the stuff yesterday and spent last evening until 11pm, bagging it up. One girl told me that she hadn't done her own shopping yet! They're a really nice group, mostly women and of all ages from young to retired. There's one lad there who insisted on carrying my bags to the car. No problem, he said, as he strode off, my dad's in the SAS and he takes me on long hikes. After Christmas we're doing a 32 mile hike at an Army base in Devon. He did say he didn't enjoy the 64 mile hikes though.
I was knackered trying to keep up with him, my little legs were doing two paces to his one.
