A very experimental ox tail dish. Will let you know what it’s like later. Still not sure what it’s going to have in it or what it’s going to look like yet.

I am and it won’t be either of those hideous things. It is currently being slow roasted on a bed of onions & elephant garlic along with salt, pepper, kimchi salt, bay leaves & a splash of sherry all wrapped in foil.
The plan is… When it falls off the bone, it’ll be shredded and pan fried in fajita seasoning until crispy on the edges. While that rests, in the same pan I’ll fry the mushrooms and wilt down the spinach. This is then all topping a couple of warmed whole grain pita breads with a thick layer of hummus. All topped off with a big handful of rocket.
told you it was experimental
Not a single vegetable cooked into an unrecognisable state any where on the plate (better known as stews/ casseroles )

I can't get past the thought of an ox tail, with a tuft of fur at the end curled up in a pan. Poor moocow.

Understandable but not as upsetting as seeing a roast chicken, which has the vague shape of a bird, on the table ready to eat. The exact reason my brother went vegetarian early on in his life. He also thought about being a vet until he figured part of the job was giving injections and operating on animals. I'm made of sterner suff and will eat almost anything.

I had to goggle kimchi salt. I'm going to have to get some of that.
