You're banned! Not for implied obscenity but for liking fudge. Give me toffee, caramel or choc any day. Fudge just sets my teeth on edge, like royal icing. Although our lad experimented with making chocolate fudge in the slow cooker over Xmas. It was OK and less 'scratchy' but there was a lot of it. I've some lurking in the fridge, having been given some to take home. I think all his friends must have some lurking too.

Bet you don't like marzipan either! No point telling you that Lidl have reduced lots of Christmas food to 50p - stollen (was £2.98) iced fruit cake, fruit jellies etc etc. Good job my resolutions don't include "Lose Weight",
Meanwhile, I've been given 2 bags of mixed fruit, plus prunes, walnuts and fruit & nut mix - for FREE. The mixed fruit is a bit old (use by 10/23) but the rest are 25 or 26.

JJB I'm with you there on not liking Fudge, I ate a sample some 4-5 years ago at a Woodland festival and I'm sure its still stuck to my teeth I don't eat icing, marzipan or jelly either.

I adore marzipan! How dare you! its just the scratchy stuff; coconut ice is another no go for me.
I make marzipan stuffed medjool dates (sometimes dipped in chocolate) for a Xmas treat. I've bought a reduced Xmas pud for next year but resisted many others. I was sorely tempted by mince pies at 26p. Unfortunately my resolutions DID include lose weight. I'm trying to avoid the nibbles and chocs left over from the holidays and failing quite spectacularly, without buying extra. Have you noticed the Easter eggs on the shelves!

Sorry JJB but I’m with the other ladies when it comes to marzipan. Vile stuff. However I will join you in the weight loss journey. It’s not a new year’s resolution . It’s just something I have to do.

Seems I'm the odd one out here (for a change ) I like fudge, marzipan, icing, coconut ice, toffee, ............but I'd can't stand sloppy food like rice pudding, blancmange, jelly, trifle, custard.

Looking at your likes and dislikes..................I like just about the lot, but won't eat them! The only one on the list I wouldn't thank you for though is blancmange, horrible stuff! PS Can I add double cream to the likes as I use gallons of the stuff!

Nothing wrong with double cream Vinny, lovely stuff but perhaps not if I wish to shed a few pounds.
