Show off (took me a minute to figure it, but then again most things do, these days) Twp. What did you just call her ?! "Welsh twp" refers to the Welsh word twp (pronounced roughly like 'toop'), which is an adjective meaning stupid, foolish, or idiotic. It is a common term used in South Wales and has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. The word can be used to describe a foolish person or action, such as in the phrase "Stop acting so twp". Well Goggled, JJB. My parents were always calling us Twp if we did something daft!. "Ignore him, he's a bit twp" or "Are you twp or something? Its not a nasty word, more like friendly banter.

Never entered my mind it was nasty. Along the lines of 'Plonker'. I think I might incorporate it into conversation, might get everyone going.
