Exactly my thoughts too.

Exactly my thoughts too. My thoughts were. I must buy more seed and try again. I’ve obviously not mastered the art of giant pumpkin growing. . Don’t think I watered enough in the early stages and didn’t start feeding soon enough.

I have lots more seeds so don't buy any. I'll send them out with our next seed swap. Maybe I'll manage to grow one next year!

I'm looking forward to eating it. It will keep us going for a week or more.

Thank you veggie. I’d really like to try again next year. It’d would be great if you’d play too .
You have excellent giant veg growing weather .
I’m also looking forward to the eating part as well. Pumpkin chips, pumpkin risotto, pumpkin soup. Roast pumpkin, spiced pumpkin seeds. And any other recipe I can find

I did read that they're not bad for eating, but I've only been thinking about the growing - never the eating
I definitely want to try again. I didn't "feed" mine but I did grow it in heavily manured, newly compost-covered ground and it made its own path. I watered it sometimes but definitely not enough for a true giant. It's really not growing at this point, I don't think, but I still have fun visiting it at the plot

I have some luggage spring balance scales somewhere which might do the job.

More Giant Veg and a pumpkin on the back of a flat bed truck (to give the pumpkin growers something to aim for).
