Last week I managed to deadlift my bodyweight of 195 Kilogram afeter working my way up to it and would like to lift 200 kilo soon?

I know this sounds like I am bragging, and probably doesn't make sense to you all, but I had to tell someone! Rolleyes Sad
Nope, doesn't make much sense to me -  195kilos is more than 30stone - Is that how heavy you are, Vinny?
Sorry Veggie, it should have been 95 kilo not 195..............or 15 stone and a bit, my bodyweight! Well spotted! Blush

To put this into perspective though, Eddie Hall lifted 500 kilo (1/2 a metric tonne, for a world record!)
Correct me if I'm wrong,,,,,,,,,,so you deadlifted 95 kilos but you'd like to lift 200 kilos soon??  Just checking........Wink
I'm not doing to well with numbers today am I ? Blush I should really re-read my posts before pressing 'Post reply'

Right, I'll try again:-..........I deadlifted 95kg and hope to deadlift 100kg in the near future. I'll cross my fingers and hope you don't find owt else wrong wih my post Veggie! Rolleyes But thanks for getting me to clarify anyway! Smile

Check before you Brag, Vinny. Big Grin At least we got there in the end. 100kg still sounds like a lot to me - that a lot of bags of compost to lift at once. Wink

It will feel like a lot to me as I was pretty much on my limit at 95kg! I didn't have a weight lifting belt on for added back stability either, and I would imagine it would also give you more faith that you wouldn't do yourself an injury if you had a belt on?
Anyway 'Onward and upward'. If I can't brag somewhere, whats the point? My instructors must have been impressed because they videod me! Big Grin (And NO I'm not going to come and shift your compost) Tongue

That's an achievement of the day Vinny.... I think. It sounds a bit that something is lost in translation,  do you really mean 195kg, ie 30 stone?  Maybe it's 195 lb, ie nearly 14 stone. Either way lifting your body weight is admirable.

Cleared all the old stuff out of the burning pit, as it was wet at the bottom, and to make sure nothing was living in it, then filled it up with dry twigs - mostly brambles -and had a bonfire. Managed to get rid of most of it which makes me happy. Our garden waste collection starts on the 21st so that's where the brambles will be going from today.
Weeded around the pond and picked some watercress for lunch while I was there.
A lovely sunshiny day.

Helped Bob get some gravel from the quarry. Ready for our gate posts going in. After lunch. Started making dividers out of cardboard for my new seed tin. Bob suggested making them out of 6mm plywood. So we spent a couple of hours making 33 of them. I’ve spent rest of the day re organising seeds into new tins and more categories. Nearly finished all the edibles, got to finish tomorrow and then start on the flowers. Will definitely need more dividers.

Our green bin collection is this Thursday so I’ve been around the garden collecting anything that doesn’t go in my compost bins.

Two dog walks both to different places, our weekend doggie visitor goes home tomorrow.

Ok, ok I got my numbers wrong (I usually work in old money ie stones & pounds but the weights I use in the gym are in Kilo's!  I weigh round about 15 stone depending on time of day, maybe a few more pounds in the evening? which is roughly 95 kilogrammes.I worked up to lifting 95 kilo's so I could say I lifted my body weight.........and I eventually did it. A 100 kilo lift next is what I am aiming for( But I think I will keep it to myself). I struck some Choisya cuttings (why do they say 'struck' when it comes to cuttings Huh ) in the hope that they'll take.  They're to replace a couple of box balls ut the front that keep getting decimated by the dreaded box moth caterpillars. I chose choisya merely because I have one to hand. An alternative might be Hypericum, not Forsythia or Buddleia because I want them bushy not tree'y.  Any alternative suggestions gratefully accepted but, as usual I'm reluctant to spend money.  Rolleyes
