So we have a nice piece of plywood in stead. Not ideal. Hopefully Bob will get it sorted when the company is back in the office Monday. Other window is being fitted tomorrow. The piece of plywood has already been cut for that one!
More stress. It's going to be stunning when it's all in properly. To save me looking back, remind me why it had to be replaced?

More stress. It's going to be stunning when it's all in properly. To save me looking back, remind me why it had to be replaced? We needed opening as a fire escape. As only one way in & out of the room. Last summer we also realised it gets bloody hot in there. As the shower wet wall we were storing in there had folded in the heat. So opening will be nice. I’m sure within a couple of weeks we won’t even notice the central bar down the window. A little obvious now with the boarded window.

Just a quick FYI. Fingers crossed everyone please. For when Bob does contact window company tomorrow. They might not play nicely. As we’ve actually had the windows for 6 months and 4 days ( being precise about it! ). But this weekend has been the first opportunity with good weather & help coming together at the same time. So hopefully they won’t argue and be difficult about replacing the panes of glass . It’s also another trip to Glasgow. Hopefully might be able to pick other stuff up at the same time, maybe.

Both windows are in. I think they will be ok once they are fully glazed. It’s hard luck if they don’t. Still a bit of work to do initially but they are weather proof now.
