A few days ago I sowed some dianthus plumarius (cottage garden pinks) Sonata on the kitchen windowsill. I was expecting to wait some time for germination but they've started to pop today.

Sowed Sweetcorn "Goldcrest". Can't remember the last time I tried to grow sweetcorn but I have a few hundred seeds, so, let's give it a go!

Spot on, TMTT! with 250 seeds in the packet, unlike some of the other companies.

I have a sunflower and pumpkin seed mix that I sprinkle on my porridge, so on Monday JFF I put some sunflowers on damp kitchen roll to see if they would germinate, not really expecting them to. Today they nearly all had a half inch root on them! So I've potted them up, of course, though where in my garden I shall squeeze in 24 sunflowers I don't know.
