Two new things already today!
1. Made a fruit smoothie (mango, peach, yogurt and chia seeds) from FREE frozen fruit..........
2. Made it in an electric Blender that, according to the receipt in the box, I bought in 2016 .....and have never used. Needless to say, it was reduced. It has all sort of containers for storing your ready mixed food. It claims to be an 8 in 1 multiblender, though that's debatable! I had enough trouble using it for just 1 of the 8.
The smoothie was disgusting! It looked and may even have tasted like frog spawn. I had to add honey to give it any flavour at all. The rest of the frozen smoothie mixes are about to become HotBin fodder.
As for the multiblender, once I've washed all the gloopy bits and pieces, it will go back in its box at the back of the cupboard until I feel the need to work out what the other 7 uses for it are!

A couple of new things for me today. My first go at working with the bees. Removed a couple of frames and gave them some syrup. Bob did most of it. But as I have a bee suit now I helped. Other new things, trying my first honeycomb. It’s amazing.

Fresh honeycomb! Wow, I can smell and taste it now. We used to keep chunks of honeycomb in a jar of honey, just for us. Delicious.

That looks so nice. As a child in NZ we used to buy 6"square frames of honeycomb to spread on toast for breakfast. You've brought back memories, thanks SC.

The smoothie was disgusting! It looked and may even have tasted like frog spawn. I only made one smoothy and like yours it tasted horrid, so never again for me.

It might have been the chia seeds that ruined the puree, I've never got on with them. They remain one of those opened pkts that get forgotten at the back of the cupboard that I can never figure out what to do with.

The chia seeds were definitely the slippery, tadpoles in the smoothie pond. It was the palaver of blending all the stuff and clearing up afterwards that made me wonder why people bother.

Never could undestand the conept of smoothies, why not just eat the fuit ot vegetables if you are that way inclined and be done with it? Horrible things anyway!
