Piglet is being stubborn, or perhaps reached his limit. Notwithstanding being fed and watered every day, he's remaining the same measurements. Perhaps he's finished growing and is now curing in the heatwave.

He measured 90cm circumference - 68cm side to side over his tummy and end to end 72cm and came up as 11kg

Measured firefly again today. 92.5cm . 67cm top to tail , 65.5cm across the middle. Estimated 10kg. So little firefly has also put on 1kg .

Well done firefly, keep eating your Weetabix. I fear I may have overestimated Piglet's measurements, I think he's still 10kg. I measured at dusk in a hurry to get out of the way of midges, so wasn't as careful as I perhaps should have been. Remeasuring doesn't suggest the 1kg increase. it's going to be really interesting to see how accurate the estimated weights are. DJ is bound to win but its been really fun.

Lifted firefly pumpkin onto some bits of wood to get a bit of air circulation underneath. The stem between plant and pumpkin is still looking quite fleshy. But the actual plant is looking very unhealthy now.

Piglet, son of Peg is no longer growing, is a bright orange and Peg has gone to the great pumpkin in the sky. Piglet is waiting for some kind person to detach him from the remnants of mummy and put him in the dry. We'll have a weigh in when the rain stops.
