Today I washed the motorhome and used the heavy rain we've had to rinse it.

Made soup and then a fish stew for my Manchester daughter, her husband and son while they did the gardening: fixed a fence, put up a new clothes line, prepared some ground for spring (next week) and sowed some seeds in pots. I'd prefer to do most of the gardening myself but she insists on coming to help. I don't mind too much though as we need more people able to grow our own food now.

I now have all the gear but needed to have bait to hand for a last minute foray whenever I go. To this end I have 'salted' mackeral fillets, mussels and pigs liver for a couple of days Today I bagged it up into ziplock bags and later I will be using my new baiting needles to make up some ready made cocktails ready to just slip on the hook when requierd. I need to egt a move on as the trout season starts on 22nd March where I will be engrossed with freshwater fly fishing, which is a completely different sport!
How far away is the sea you hope to fish in Vinny? I hope to fish at one of my old haunts on the North Sea at Blyth Harbour which is about 30 miles away. I haen't seen my newest granchild yet and she must be a month old by now? My Son and family live at Blyth so I will kill two birds with one stone. I must admit I don't like the name they have given her as Ellle May always reminds me of the Clampets!
I put off last weekend because of snow, and this weekend is forecast for high winds in the area so I need to put it off again.Hopefully next weekend I'll get to see her and take Kato on his first fishing trip.
Understand what you mean about names. Elly May, Jed, Jethro and Granny all conjure up memories. Perhaps a tad better than my nieces kids, Doris and Hector known collectively as H'oris

I'm cleaning the gh in the warm sunshine, scrubbing the algae off the outside, shame there's a lot on the inside too. That might be tomorrow's job.

Went to a Seed Swap
Spotted the GH windows had opened on the autovent. Must be the warmest day of the year - so I celebrated by watering the pots.
Did a bit more wandering around - eyeing up empty patches of ground that would make suitable homes for random sowing of flowers and edible plants.
