Well that was tasty! Big Grin

Because it was Sunday I decided to have a Sunday roast. I dug out a beef joint I had frozen in April (think it was part of the Easter cut price meat deals?) and bunged it in the oven for a couple of hours whilst I went fishing. I came back 3 hours later and cut up the wam meat on the chopping board and scoffed the lot with Course Himalayan salt added. I did add a dollop of horseradish sauce to the corner of the chopping boad to dip meat into! Cool

It was a good job I had thought ahead as I drew a blank at the waters edge! Rolleyes

B. Banana, granola & yogurt
L. The last of the prawn mayo on a bread roll, followed by Today's past its date item - some Fig jam (4/22). It wasn't as bad as it looked so I'll keep eating it.
D. Leftover Sardine and chickpea rice with a couple of past their date sachets of sweet chilli relish (4/23).

Expeirment time again. although I spotted a similar recipe on a carnivore youtube site.!

500g of 25% fat beef mince mixed up with three chopped up fine slices of thick cut smoked bacon. An egg added to mix and kneaded into five balls. Balls wee then wrapped with 1/2lb of unsmoked bacon slices.
Five (similar to scotch eggs) placed in air fyer and cooked for a total of 40 minutes turning twice to bown bacon.

One piece for Kato (which he golloped up!) and three for me with one fo ron, cold this evening.

Each was cut in half simila to a baked potato and grated cheddar cheese was added. Katos was just chopped up and cheese spread on top.

Not bad at all, cheap to make and very filling! Cool

I set a bolognese to cook in the pressure cooker before I set off for work this morning, and boy was I glad for that when I got home at 7pm tonight!

B. Fig jam on toast
L. YS Vegan sausage roll (47p) with tomatoes
D. YS Wasabi vegetable gyoza (60p).

I made a mixed vegetable thing from odds and ends - a yellow pepper, bendy courgettes, soft tomatoes, a tin of plum tomatoes (best before 8/22) and a tin of cannellini beans (BB 10/2017 !!). That's a couple more old items used up. No idea what it tastes like however. That's for another day!

I was a bit peckish this evening so delved into the freezer and found some coconut covered calamari which I thought I would try as a snack. I wasn't impressed and won't be buying them again. Sick Kato liked them though! Smile
