2026 - What I sowed today.

I bought some Piccolato (Magiquia) cherry tomatoes from Aldi. They were the best tasting commercial chery toms I've tasted, probably as good as home grown. They are probably F1 but I've saved some seed and sowed it as an experiment.

Definitely F1. The full name is Magiquia RZ, with the RZ standing for Rijk Zwaan (the breeder). It's part of a line that has resistant to the tomato brown rugose fruit virus which can wipe out whole commercial greenhouses of tomatoes. I might pick up a pack next time I go to Aldi. Maybe one day you'll be able to buy it for £1 per seed from JustSeed! https://justseed.com/collections/rz-tomato

You're quite correct, I found the Rijk Zwaan site.  You can only hope they become available,  in the meantime I'll take a flyer. That is if they grow. They are truly tasty, DiL liked them too.
