I dunno whether their is a more relevant thread to add to 
.................but seeing as I have now got my second batch of sunflower seeds (either mice or birds dug up the last ones killing the plants) 
are we having either a height or flower size sunflower competition this year?
Mine will be direct sown (and covered) as soon as it warms up and I get to the allotment!
