Some white carnation cuttings I acquired (nicked) last summer were doing well, they had fat flower buds on them. I planted these out a couple of weeks ago and now find some varmint has chopped the buds off and presumably eaten them. I suspect mouse or rat but the devil has ignored the tips of the pinks. Anyone else suffered this way?
