2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff

Its was Free Food Church Day today but there was nothing left! Apparently they hadn't been able to collect much from the supermarkets and what they did collect had been taken before I got there! All I had were two battered coriander herbs in pots - doubt that they'll survive. Also a couple of tins of peas and red beans.
Next I went to Lidl to try out the Lidl App on my phone. I'm not the most confident of phone users and was convinced I'd mess it up. When you sign up you can claim a free Vegetable (a bag of potatoes is the most expensive) and something from the bakery counter (a sourdough loaf is £1.99), if you spend £5. I needed a few bits and pieces (and an Amaryllis) so decided to brave the crowds and make a fool of myself! The good news is, I didn't embarrass myself and came away with a FREE bag of spuds and a loaf. Sadly, there were no amaryllis to be seen.
They were giving away tasters of cakes so I had a couple of those too.
