I'm really disappointed in Premier Seeds, they used to be my go to for veg seeds, but not so much any more. This is generally the way things go when investors take over a company. It's the same with DT Brown/Fothergills getting bought out by a private equity firm. They want a return on their money, so they will look to reduce costs and increase prices. Private equity has been gobbling up gardening companies and vets since COVID. I wouldn't be surprised to see Premier Seeds' prices to reach £2 per packet in a few years. They will still be cheaper than the usual suspects, but no where near the bargain they used to be.
