To be clear, when I go to the church, I aim to be one of the last ones there - so that I collect the food that nobody else wants. I was Number 25 yesterday - and the last! They're actually grateful for people like me, clearing up what might otherwise go to waste. The helpers will have already taken whatever they wanted. They were desperate to get rid of bread yesterday so I "helped" them
I've just been to one of my "regular" customersThe one who gave me salmon last week. Apparently, she goes shopping in Lidl on Sunday and clears out her fridge on Monday. Once she's sees something that is out of date/or expires that day, she cannot bring herself to eat it. She said she wished she was like me , but then she wouldn't have anything to give me.
Anyway, I have some yogurts, instant porridge, bagels, malted milk biscuits, a pot noodle and a Chinese meal.
Also collected 2 watering cans which I'll keep at the Veg End of the garden.

My Daughter was distaught when I told her I had eaten a rump steak from the fridge that was 12 days out of date.To me it looked ok and smelled ok so I ate it, with no ill effect!
