I put my packet of Mckana's Giant in the fridge for 5 days then sowed on the surface of coir. Put a lid on top them left them in the hall for a few weeks. They've popped up quite well so now on a sunny windowsill in the kitchen. Carp!
They got, neglected, dried out and knocked over. I intend to try again. That's why at this time of year I just leave things in the hall or somewhere out of direct sun outside to germinate. Too much chance of the growing medium drying out, or the seeds getting cooked if you have a cover over them.
