Collected some Sage cuttings from a local and had a tour of his garden. Wasn't expecting much from the front of the house but, as soon as I went through the side gate and met his lovely black spaniel it felt like my sort of garden - except it was tidy! Everywhere you looked there were vegetables and fruit growing, Trellises of beans, separating his garden from the neighbour, a greenhouse where there used to be a garage that was crammed full of tomatoes and cucumbers, hanging baskets of strawberries, pots of kale, a small plum tree that was laden with fruit,, a big clump of raspberries - all in a strip of land that was 8'wide at the most. The back garden was actually split into two - his and hers. "Her" garden was lawn and flowers, screened from "His" garden by more trellis covered in beans, vines and roses.
After my garden tour, I went to another house for some cookery books. Not sure why I like cookery books, I never follow a recipe.
