For once, I can see the logic in one of your random plans. It even sounds doable (apart from the bit about chucking out seeds). You're in the questionably enviable position of having a choice of growing areas, so the plan sounds a good 'un.

The categorisation is basically what every gardener does instinctively, probably - grow what you like, don't grow what you don't like. Over the years I'm sure we've all whittled down our 'regulars' to fit the space we have. Looking back at 20yrs old very vague records. It was amazing what I crammed into the plots, artichokes, potatoes, cabbage, etc. None of which I grow today.

Like you I stick to toms, cucs, courgettes, beans, beetroot, chard & MT, with the addition of sweetcorn, carrots and broccoli. If I want to experiment, one of those have to be forfeited, which isn't going to happen. Each year, these days, is a replica of the last. I'm a creature of habit.
Gardening is an excuse not to do housework
