Not much of an issue with aphids here anymore. They were over everything earlier in the year. The ladybirds seemed to arrive late, but now they're demolishing the aphid population in cooperation with the hoverfly larvae and parasitic wasps. I was blasting with the hose or spraying with soapy water before the predators arrived, but now there's too much risk of killing the predators too, so I'm leaving them to it. Check if you have any hoverfly eggs on the underside of the leaves, they look like tiny grains of rice. Parasitised aphids turn a gold colour, and you may see a hole in their back if the wasp has already emerged!
