Planted lots of cucurbits - yellow scallops, patty pan, random courgettes, 4 Tromboncino outdoors. Ground very dry and hard but rain forecast tonight so I'm hoping they'll have a drink.
Also planted 4 Passandra cucumbers in GH2.
Mulched the spuds and mangetout with grass cuttings. Filled a dustbin and a couple of trugs with grass ready to top up the hotbin and wormeries.
Did some pruning on one of the apple trees, thinned out the small apples - can't reach most of them so hoping that the June Drop will do those for me. I was given this unnamed tree by a friend who worked at Wyevale nurseries about 45 years ago. When we moved to our current house I dug up the tree and brought it with me. It was the first fruit tree I planted here. In all the years, I have never seen this many apples on it!
