Hopefully my achievment for today will be to finiah making the Pemmican. I left the dehydrator on all night to make sure the beef was really dry and have blitzed it to a powder this morning. The blueberries are taking longer to dehydrate than I thought they would, but they will dry eventually? In retrospect I should have maybe cut each blueberry in half to allow the moisture within to dissipate easier? Once fully dried I will blitz them with the meat. When I have both together I will do a taste test as the dripping will add very little to the taste.I have a nice chilli and salt powder that I add to my biltong, so may add a bit of that? Last ime I made biltog I tried adding a Char-Su mix but I wasnt impressed with the outcome so shall stick to what I know tastes good to me!
