We have had some birds probably from your neck of the woods. Fieldfare visit us every year. First they eat all the berries off the holly trees and then, particularly when very frosty, we see them with blackbirds and thrushes ( and squirrels unfortunately) eating windfall apples. They seem to like them partially rotted/fermented. The apples and berries have gone now and the fieldfares have moved on. They usually come as a large flock of more than 50 but never counted.
