Yay, car through MOT!
All my new sea fishing gear has arrived now so I can't wait to head for the lower reaches of the river Tyne and give it a go. I used to live closer to the Tyne than I do now so used to go flattie bashing quite regular. My youngest son who was about 10 years old at the time caught a huge salmon on mackeral strip. I have a framed photograph of him standing with it proud as punch! My main species I will be after are whiting (because they are a wonderful fish for eating) but the usual subjects I catch are crabs, and worse still eels which I absolutely hate!
