I am more muscular now than I was in my twenties unlike a lot of people my age. I am happy with my fitness (take no medication) and body composition as well. Without meat and protein intake our brains wouldn't be the size they are now and we would still be swinging in the trees (sounds fun actually!) Our digestive system is similar to dogs, wolves, cats which are all cafnivore and we are hyper carnivore (70% meat) using tools rather than teeth or claws. We haven't got a rumen or multiple stomachs to digest /fermet vegtable matter annd get rid of toxins and anti nutrients from the vegtables! They can't run away so their only defence is to add toxins to try and save from being eaten.Pesticides also are slowly poisoning us as well.(15-01-2025, 12:47 AM)Vinny Wrote: Why would you want to? I can understand people climbing Everest "Because it's there" but do you think you will be six times healthier with 30 as opposed to 5 vegetables a day!
If it's a quest or something from your bucket list then so be it, but all those vegetables, full of anti-nutrients and fibre will play havoc with yor digestive tract! It woud probably kill me!
Protein diet - a short life but a happy one, eh, Vinny?
If I am still about at 80 or 90 ? maybe you would say "Whey ya bugger, maybe auld Vinny had a point?"
