Had some cold chicken meatbals for £1 from Iceland when I was out shopping this afternoon.
I have just done a taste trial with Aldi's and Morries £2.50 for four frozen fish and unlike veggie I would ever so slightly favour the Morries version?I had them with yellow sticker Tenderstem brocolli and butter.
In my view is about 6.5 out od 10 for Aldi's and 7 out of 10 for Morries! I felt Morries batter was tastier, if not a bit thicker than Aldi's which I thought was a fault at first, but Aldi's batter was quite tasteless to my pallette.I suppose it's wrong to judge fish just by the batter, but it comes as a package and the fish was the same for me in both.
While I was in Iceland I picked up two extra large Young's Chip Shop fillets for £2.00 so I will gie those a go and see what I think? They are 300g for two whereas the others are 500g for four so they are slightly dearer.
