I saw a huge butterfly yesterday. At first glance I thought it was a small bird, flapping its wings but when it settled on the trunk of the old ash tree, I could see it was a butterfly - brownish orange with dark speckles. By contrast, I also saw a Mint moth on the oregano - its about the size of my little finger nail.
Neither of these feature in the August I-Spy list.
