The garden from scratch

Daft question! Can you mix your "peat" with the bought "peatfree" compost, or isn't it the right sort of peat?

That’s exactly what I’m going to do   . I have no idea if it’s the right sort of peat. Hopefully going to get some manure to mix in with it as well.

Failed to get any manure. Lambing started so the farm is a bit busy.
So I went with peat, compost , handful of chicken manure pellets, a good sprinkling of blood, fish & bone and hope!

Every time I mix up a batch of compost there's an incredible amount of hope involved, but things are growing OK so far. Fingers crossed.
