I'm so bummed to miss another year of throwing trombas. Gardening is full of mishaps.
I've got something growing that has self seeded which I'm going to let grow and see what, if anything, I get. Looks like a winter squash of sorts so will be a while to harvest. Yours looks quite like a courgette. You could try it now, could have a rock hard skin when mature. I once had a longish orangish squash that self seeded, probably a cross between uchiki kuri and something that was very nice. I think they taste bitter if they are likely to be a problem. I did harvest one to try today. Wish me luck!
