Something Nasty in the Woodshed? (Warning! - post contains a photo of a snake)

I confess that I am walking the long way round on the path, but inside the snake is above a wheel barrow so I've decided to use the other one!!
An update - I hink it is about the shed its skin because the skin over the eye is blue and opaque.

Yeah that’s a sure sign they’re about to shed. That’s normal when they’re at there most bad tempered. I’ve discovered from experience   .

What snakes do you have on Mull SC? I imagine adders and grass snakes? Supposedly no snakes in Ireland though?
