What was your very first harvest?

I remmeber my first harvest of broad beans at our first marital home. The reason I remember it was because we had bought the house long before moving into it as it needed a lot of renovation.
During the renovation I was left with a big pile of plasterbaoard which I dumped at bottom of garden. To hide it I covered it with soil and sowed broad beans into it.
I have never had such a good crop of brroad beans since that first harvest and I will always remember it!  The problem was that Helen didn't like broadies so I had a lot to get through!
